Hello I am a medical technologist (Clinical lab scientist).Responsibities: To process blood, urine, sputum, stool and body secretions for analysis be it chemical, bacteriologic and serologic. Also to process tissue specimen for the pathologist to evaluate. To detect pressence or absence of inflammatory components in the blood. To determine pressence of parasites in body secretions. To do research in order to improve hospital sanitation. To test for the pressence of illegal drugs in the blood, hair and urine of a person. Here, in the Philippines, we are the one who will administer the drug for death penalty. To do research especially for the effectiveness of new antibiotics. To help in the diagnisis and treatment of diseases. To evaluate normal and bnormal blood cells.
