If you opened it a few months ago and it tastes a little funny I would throw it out. It is not worth the risk of getting food poisoning. Not many things can survive a few months - even in the fridge - once they have been opened!

Then I would throw it out immediately but I'm guessing when you
first make it then you pro bally do not think about how many days has this jar been in my refrigerate . If it says jan. 2008 then i think you will be fine and you'll live. Just kidding!

Well as a general rule...the FDA or some government agency like that says to eat "leftovers" within 3 days. My mom always kept stuff for 1 week unless it looked or smelled funny and nobody got sick from it. If it looks or smells funny it probably is.

Get rid of it. Remember there is milk in alfredo sauce...it could be going sour.....when you open the jar you kind of "spoil" it and the expiration date is no longer good.

Yep, good rule of thumb....if it smells iffy, toss it. ALWAYS. I just weathered a major bout of food poisoning from bad spinach dip. I should have known it wasn't good anymore, but I ate it anyway. It's so not worth the risk!

Throw it away! It is only good for three days after it is opened.

Three days tops. If you own a billy goat, maybe a week. Don't mess with dairy products.

Obviously, if it smells funny, throw it out, no matter HOW long it's been there.
