Hmmm . . . if you don't think your friend would mind terribly (or if you just don't value her opinion that much), just ask him out! I mean, it's really very simple. Ask him out to coffee or something to start with. Good luck!

No. You can buzz by him and drop some hints, but it's boy asks girl. The only exception would be inviting him to a social gathering, family bbq are something like that.

okay. first of all, i were you. . .
i`d ask my friend, "do you still have feelings for (his name here)."
& if she says no. . . ask her if i`d be okay if you asked him out.
ask him in person.
hang out with him for a little while & and ask him who does he like. . .
& if he says no one.
then ask him out! (:
