Assuming you mean Saddam Hussein,
He tried to take over a country that is our friend because they sell us oil real cheap. We kicked him out, and told him he had to behave.
Well, after terrorists attacked us 5 years ago, our president attacked the people who did it (they were called the Taliban), then attacked Saddam. We're not sure exaclty why, the president hasn't been very honest about it. It may be because:
- Saddam was supposed to let us see all his weapons, and wouldn't.
- Saddam let terrorists live and train in his country
- Saddam wanted to attack us too
- Saddam was hurting his own people, and we wanted to stop it.
or it could have been because:
- We wanted his oil
- We couldn't find the guy who helped with 9-11, so we attacked Saddam instead
- The president wanted to look like a hero...but ended up looking like a bad guy instead

He didnt die when Bush Sr. was in office, we wouldnt even be hearing about him if the DUBYA didnt feel the need to impress his father and make up for his past (alcoholism, cocaine addiction, etc.).
