Why (generally speaking) do men have a higher sex drive than women?

Nonsense! It's just that men will never admit to having a low sex drive! - And it's hard as a women to admit to having a high sex drive without appearing to be a tart!
Also, I think that people have differing ideas of 'high' - I think more than once a day is high, if you take into consideration statistics which claim that the average person has sex 3 times a week - this would be an average between those who manage once a night and those who spend a sunday morning in bed!

As for women, It depends on her experiences and exposure.
For example, If a female had sex with a guy who gave her really good body rocking noisy sex. Then she has been exposed and will always want some more of that. The experience will increase her sex drive.

It depends on what culture you are from. Generally in western cultures men are considered to have a higher sex drive. In may eastern cultures and some historical cultures women were considered to have the higher sex drive.
Personally I think our sex drives are partly controlled by how we are raised and the expectations of the society we live in. So generally in our culture men do have higher sex drives because it is expected of them and women have lower sex drives because it is expected of them.

Testosterone is what makes men want sex more than women. Estrogen is what makes women not want sex. Especially when women are on birth control pills that pump extra estrogen in their body. Then their sex drive really shut down.
