Why do relationships often end in fatal attractions? My brother's girlfriend threw Clorox in his face and eyes because they were in an heated argument. He stayed with her that same night much to my disgust! :-|

Why would someone attempt to hurt the one they "supposedly" love. Rather that risk going to jail.....I'd rather accept that the relationship is over.

People are a little bit mentally ill and love exacerbates the problem.

This is modern love. Saddly, you will likely end up in such a relationship yourself. People just get too attached, too quickly. Most people are just scared to be alone, and they figure 'it's not so bad'.
