It depends on the person. I like coffee not just in the morning, but sometimes, in the evenings, when I'm in front of the TV and just want to relax with a cup of Java; and contrary to most other people, I CAN sleep after drinking it!

Anytime is the right time for black coffee! Of course, after lunch it has to be decaf for those of us that don't want to stay up all night.
If your coffee is high enough quality it doesn't need milk and sugar. Additives just mask the varietal, regional, and roasting flavors. Of course, if it is crappy coffee, this might be welcome.

Also, if caffeine does not bother you, it's great after dinner, with a small cookie, biscuit or something like that- stretches a small sweet and it's an excellent way to unwind.
