A few years ago I was attacked by a 16 year old girl. She pulled my hair and I did not hit her back. I was afraid I would go to jail. The cops broke us up neither one of us had injuries. I did not get arrested but the officer said he could arrest me even though I did not hit her. I'm getting ready to get a criminal background check. Is there any way they could have filed charges against me and I did not know it? Should I worry? I live in Kentucky. Would I not have been sent an arrest warrant or somehting it's been 5 years.

If you were not arrested, at the time of the altercation, then there would be no record of it!!

No, if you were never charged then there would be nothing in your report. Criminal records are searched based on court records. So you never had a charge filed against you...Nothing to worry about.

you shouldnt have nethign to worry about if the officer said that they could've pressed charges. that infers that they werent going to press charges. and if your asking whether to include it on a resume or somehtign you shouldn't have to, you have no clue about it you were sent no documentation so u should be good to go.
good luck

No case was filed against you because there was no notice to you to appear for investigation or notice of any conviction,
