Medicinal plants are NATURAL sources of drugs. A visit to almost any Chinese grocery store will allow you to see dozens of these for sale. Doctors often ask patients if they are drinking herbal teas or taking powders from medicinal plants to prevent over-dosing when they write a prescription. Doctors are also concerned about reactions between what they prescribe and what you eat, drink, or consume so you will not get a bad reaction or side-effect like a rash or itching.
