. . well i wish that i would have told him that i liked him before he went to church that sunday and met this girl that he doesn't even know what school she goes to, but anyway, i think that he knows that i like him it's not cuz i flirt with him so much that it is obvious, but i think that it is because he likes me too, but he doesn't want to break his girl's heart (because when we were friends before i decided not to talk to him as a friend because i felt like a friend shouldn't like a friend when the friend doesn't know the friend like him) he talked to me about how most guys are players at my school and crap so i know that he isn't that kind of guy. .. . i am not good at talking to guys but it is worth a shot.... any advice on what to say or do?

just act like a friend around him dont mention anything about breaking up with this girl because their still going out and u should stay away from there business. try to move on a focus on another guy. good luck

If it's meant to be it will be. But for now, he is with another girl, and it wouldn't be right to try and 'steal' him away from her. It's not her fault that he decided to go out with her before you simply because you remained quiet. My best bet for you is to continue to be his friend and let his relationship with her run it's course, maybe he will see the light and dump her on his own and go out with you.
