i was seeing this guy(dennis) for over a year. things were going on great untill he got a job as an inflight attendant we started spending less time together untill finally we kind of split. none of us wanted this to happen. he has come back to reclaim his love the only problem is i have been seeing some one else for about three months. and he(dennis) has been way for over a year. i saw him the other day and all the love i had for him came back an he promises to spend more time with me because he has his schedule organised. i still havent fallen in love with the current guy am seeing. i want to go back to dennis but how do i tell the guy am seeing that i am leaving him for someone else? and do you all think that dennis is for real?

the question isnt is denis for real beacuse if he is willing to rescedule his llife for u because he has realized that u are more important then his job, he obvisouly still loves you. You jsut have to focus on a nice way to ltell the guy your currently seeing that your not interested int him and that youve found someone else. The way i suggest you do that is by simply telling him the truth. Im not saying tell the whole truth, but just say that your liking for him isnt what it used to be and you think that you should brake up. That way you get the man you want, and you easily let down the other the guy.

You need to be honest with your current b/f. Sounds like you and Dennis had something really special and your hearts never gave up. Just tell the other guy you can't go on cuz you are still in love with Dennis which sounds like to me you are. Good Luck and Merry Christmas. Honest is the best way.

Yes. I think you should give Dennis another chance, because you only broke up because of circumstances. I don't think other people can judge if he's "for real" but you need to see where this goes, especially considering you still don't have strong feelings for the new guy after three months. I don't think there's anything you can do to avoid hurting the new guy, but just be totally honest- except that you don't need to point out his flaws. In the long run it will be better for him to be free to find someone more compatible.

If Dennis really loves you, then he will make time for you. And since you aren't really in love with this other guy, why not give Dennis another shot? Just tell your other man that you don't feel like things are moving forward but you'd still like to keep in touch with him. If you're really important to him, he'll stick around as a friend.

what you're feeling is the guilt. I dont think you fell for Dennis. If he wants to claim you as his own, he has to start ALL OVER again, tell him, "If you want me, you have to win me."
