Not forget as in to not remember, but forget as in to get over. Or will you always compare your first to all the other relationships you're in?

you can try to forget your first love, but honestly, you can't. that person/name will always be a memory and that's all. you'll have relationships in between, but the first love relationship will be the most memorable because that is the first of everything you did with this person.

I dont believe you can forget your first love but you can use it to know what love isnt. Im in a new relationship with the man i plan on marrying, i constantly compare it to my previous relationship which reminds me how lucky i really am. You will realise when you find that special someone that your first love could never compare with the new love you found in this new person, its beautiful and nothing like the past relationships. Ive been able to move on and trust me i was going through a terribly hard time to get over my first love so when i say if i can do it then so can you!

I will never forget my first love as far as remembering him. I won't compare any other guy to him either, but since him I have noticed I'm a little more cynical about love, unfortunately :(

So far, all I do is compare. We are in completely different countries, in completely different halves of the world, and I still can't get over him.

with time you will get over that first. It's a little hard but it will happen, just be patient
