I think the Motor-homes based on the Dodge Sprinter/Mercedes Sprinter are rated at 20mpg+ on the highway. The motor is a diesel in-line 5 cylinder, and it is a lot more popular as a work van here and overseas. In truth this might be considered more of a RV and not a full fledged Motor-home.

Not likely. A small class C with a diesel engine might get 10-12 or so under ideal conditions.
