When we were growing up we were neighbors, He always hada little crush on me, and I couldnt help but kinda like him back. I lived next to him since I was 14 until I moved out when I was 19. His parents and my parents still live next door to each other.
Would it be weird if we dated. He is really mature, and such a caring person.

You have a special situation here….. don't pass it up. Personally I always hate it, when I was young, and my friend would say “I'm sorry I can't date anyone I'm friends with”. What kind of lame answer is that? She'd rather date perfect strangers?
The fact that you been friends only strengthens your relationship. Certainly some people can say oh you will destroy your relationship if you become more intimate. I've certainly heard of people marrying her childhood sweetheart. I mean you say he's very mature and a very caring person…. first of all that's rare no matter where you find them. But the fact that you found your person in your backyard and not across the country is extreme luck for you.
I would imagine if other people don't like it it's because they're jealous….. the jealous of the fact that you found someone so easily …..so conveniently…. when they've had to go to a lot of bad apples to find one that shines.
You may have some feeling like he's a brother to you…. that would make sense since you grew up together…. but we can be assured that your gene pool is probably way far apart. Except him as a mature person now… as a confidant and possible future partner.
The weirdest part only would come in with some of the friend you both know. They might feel little strange about it but that shouldn't affect your thinking.

It basically seems to be extra on your face in recent times because of the fact Disney has taken over the completed factor and Disney is everywhere.

no its not weird its normal its the boy-next-door and you've known him a long time its probably about time you hooked up when i turn your age if i still liked a guy i knew a long time which i 13 and known this boy since i was 5 and thats when i started liking boys cause of him and i like him and he likes me still we can't go out cause we live far away ok 10 hours away and i only see him summers but one day i think he will be the one so... go for it girl age is just a number love is real
