I don't know which is the best preposition for the phrase (of/from) please, help!!!!

agonize usually takes 'over' in the phrasal verb 'agonize over' but this verbal phrase means to 'think extremely hard about something'.
One may talk of the agony of a disease, meaning 'the pain' of a disease.
It might be possible for a medical scientist to 'agonize over a disease' in search for a cure, but this person doesn't have the disease.
