I have been dating a great lady for just over 2 months now. Things were going great and we were really starting to warm up to each other. She was very cautious so I told he she could take the lead as to how fast she wanted to procede. We went on lots of dates and she invited me to parties, etc. Had a good time.
Then I get home Monday and find an email from her saying she is chicken to tell me to my face but an old flame called her on her birthday (1 week ago) and she doesn't want to see me ever again because she wants to try again with her old boyfriend. SHe says it is too much work with me and she can relax and has chemistry with this other guy and won't have to try so hard.
I feel like the guy on the Wedding Singer that just had his heart ripped out through his ***.
So my question is. . . should I talk to her and ask her what is causing her to "try so hard"? and press her,or should I let her go. She's a great girl and I really like her and thought we were headed somewhere special.

If you want her back dont call or email her be strong and try to have fun without her Its the only thing that will work she will end up calling you.WATCH AND SEE

You really need to let this one go ... You probably tried to hard in the 1st place ... pressing definitely won't help
Her ex probably treated ger like **** ... thats why she has run back to him so quickly... he didnt try to hard ... probably what she wants .. she probably found you a bit boring to be honest. some girls cannot handle nice guys.
Think about it .. if she could drop you that quickly/easily .. then it wasn't as special as you think. you were probably a rebound ... an esteem booster.
For every girl that complains about how guys treat them etc ... there is always a guy like you ...
Girls love to complain ... if you don't give them something to complain about .. then they will find someone who will .. ;-))
The old ''treat 'em mean'' adage makes sense.

ps. Unlike everyone else .. I say: don't wait for her to come back ..GET OVER IT!! ... phil d has the right idea, but ... just forget her .. there are other girls.
Girls will not respect any guy who sits around waiting for them...

Darling let her go. I would say it was fling and good while it lasted.
Don't try to see her either, she will find that really annoying.
She has decided what where and who. I don't think its going to last anyway. She may come back. Stay in the background if your still interested, but this time don't make it too easy for her to come back into your life.

Leave her with her ex. Obviously she still loves him to just up and dump you without even doing it in person. You deserve better. If you end up taking her back after awhile, whos to say she wont do it again? Be realistic. Move on with your life and find someone who values you and your love.

if you really like her alot call her and wish her well, and let her know that if it does not work out with him . that you will be there. for now go out and find another and enjoy yourself. she could be scared alittle to start a new relationship. and she knows what to expect with the old one. but no one can tell you not to take her back if thats truly what you want. but i wouldn't put your life on hold while shes with him, you might find someone better who knows, time will only tell.

you're gonna have to let her find out that he isn't right.. my bf did this to me.. stayed with her 3x longer than he was with me, but then broke it off with her and wants me back.. she'll come back... Good luck...
P.S. don't tell her to get away from him (even though you may be concerned about her) she may think you're just the jealous ex..

Don't press her but don't give up hope it might work out.She might find that it wont work ,and come back to you.
