Here are few links which might help you deciding about the consultant you want to see. You have not metioned clearly if you want to find a specific consultant or one who specialises in a particular field but anyway here are your links:
http://www.drfoster.co.uk/
-this website will give you the nearest specialists and the areas they specialise in as well as the waiting times to see them
http://www.specialistinfo.com/
- this is an exhaustive list of all the specialties and GPs in an organised manner, but part of the information is paid.
Best local informer will be your GP, he should be able to guide you the right specialist for the kind of condition you have.

The Roal College of Surgeons...somewhere in Grays Inn London I think. Sorry can't be more helpful about contact info, but it was some years ago i needed to check out a surgeon from there.
Hope it helps some and good luck with the knee!

Phone BUPA and ask if they know then find out if they have a clinic at your local hospital then see your GP and tell them you wish to be referred if the waiting list is long which I would think so it's about 140 pound to see one and if you need further treatment it can be done at your NHS hospital it's just getting your foot in the door really good luck we had to do it with my mum
