hey is it better to fill taxes married filling jointly or married filling seprate ? when would you get more money?

It is almost always better to do MFJ rather than MFS. MFS disqualifies you for many credits such as savings credit, education credits, etc. Plus 99% of the time you get a better refund going MFJ.

Under almost all circumstances, is better to file joint. Under some very unusual circumstances, sometimes separate is better. You can figure it both ways and see which is better, but if you're paying someone else to do it and they're going to charge you extra to figure it both ways, go with joint.

Have your tax preparer do it both ways and see which way you get more back then go with that way.
