as long as the place is reputable and has high hygneic standards she should be fine. you're far more likley to cause an infection by not taking care of a new tattoo properly than you are ot catching something at a reputable parlour. make sure she does her research and she finds a parlour and an artist that she is comfortable with. she shouldn't make this decision based on price. have her ask people she knows where they got thier tattoo done and whether they were happy with the results. make she asks how thier clean their tools and what are thier procedures. Its also important that the artist fully understands what she wants so that she doens't end up with a tattoo she will hate and regret getting for the rest of her life

yes a tat can be dangerous... Hep virus can be spread from dirty instruments, and other nasty... another point is that you may be allergic to the ink/ dye. and still one can become infected at the injection site... be sure that the instruments are sterile (they should be sterile and wrapped prior to being used its a good point to check and see that the person is certified and such to do business in your area. i think that there maybe some classes that they must take check with the local health department on that . you can check to see how long the persons has been doing tats, and discuss any potential problems and what/how to treat the injection sites.
tats go way back in civilization as does scarring (scar designs to denote beauty/status/religion ect). and tats have came a long way and are as a whole safe when done under a skilled and licensed person. i would suggest that the person try a removable tat first (for a month or so) because it is difficult if not impossible to restore the skin to its former state in tat removal procedures... they are for all intent forever... i'd suggest modesty and not using initial/names these may bite one in the butt later in life (would you like seeing you wife/husband sweetheart tat-toed on them 24/7 or in a n intimate place( young folks tend to think in today time frame and not 5-10-20 years from now as then too dont go for trendy tats

Just as long as the place is clean she should be fine. Look around at a few places, see what other's say about them. Also, if this is a first tattoo I'd avoid something with a lot of red in it because a lot of people seem to be allergic to red dyes.

I would check the tattoo place and make sure they are clean and use clean needles. Just don't let her get the tattoo on an open wound. Other than that I think she would be ok. God Bless and Be Safe:)

ANYTHING can be dangerous. walking across the street, driving a car, riding a bike. i have plenty of friends who have plenty of tattoos and none of them have ever had a bad or dangerous experience with tattoos, my husband and i have tattoos as well and i'm perfectly fine. he's going to get another tattoo tomorrow and i'm getting another one in a week or so. relax.

I have one on my back. When she is picking the place to do it. Make sure they use clean needles. They should take them out of a sealed baggie right in front of you. Also, check out the surroundings, they people working there and the clientele, that will give you a good picture of the place and safety.

As long as you go to a liscened tattoo shop there's nothing dangerous about it. I have 4 myself, and my bf is covered. So there's no need to worry, it might just hurt is all.

Just make sure she is getting it done in a clean shop and she'll be fine. There is little danger these days - good sterilization and cleanliness is practiced at every shop I've ever been to.
