Its a pretty common design that many people have. I personally think that the more original and unique the tattoo the more you appreciate it and will continue to like it as the years go on. I have 11 tattoos and the ones that are most complimented on by people are the ones that are unique and no one has, these are also the ones I like the best. Whatever you do please dont get it on the small or lower part of your back, this is reffered by many as a "tramp stamp" or "bullseye" which is very tacky looking. You will be made fun of by almost every guy in which you walk by and then he will whisper to his friend "check out that chicks tramp stamp, haha"...

It's cute and I've seen it a lot but does it actually mean anything to you? It's seems that nowadays everyone just gets a tattoo because it's the 'thing to do' but it has no meaning. Maybe you want to look for a tattoo that actually has some meaning for you because you're going to have this for the rest of your life and do you really want to have two butterflies? I think that would be a little lame!

Sorry, just my opinion!

If that's the design you want, then go for it- I think it's pretty. You can always dress it up or change it in someway to make it uniquely yours- a good tattoo artist will do this for you. They can also resize it to fit whatever body part you want it on, within reason. There's some details that won't resize well, so just make sure you're dealing with somebody who has a clue.
I like KP's suggestion- just below the belt near the hip.

it is pretty but now a days it seems like almost everyone has some kind of tribal piece on them and almost all girls with tattoos have some kind of butterfly if you are good at drawing and designing try to redo it and make it unique and different or just go with two designs and ask the tattoo artist to do a blend of both and they will draw you up something that will be a blend of both of the ones you picked so then it will be unique

I love your concept, and props to you for being powerful via all of that. I wish your mom is doing good now. I such as you concept plenty, truthfully. The stars are the one side I might difference. They're too overdone on plenty of persons, so possibly one more useful picture might be greater to symbolize the eight of you. Maybe the primary letter of your entire names? It will depend on what you wish, fairly. Good success and great desires

ugh. tribal butterfly? really? tribal = 1995 butterfly = waaaay overdone. unless you come from some culture that has a history of tribal butterfly tattoos... get something custom and original. i wish flash were less prevalent. there are so many GREAT custom tattoo artists out there who could do your skin better justice.

thats such a cute tattoo. considering you already have one on your lower back i think that it would also look really good on your hipbone, but just make it a lil smaller or even on the back of your neck

I would do it on one of your lower calfs down by your ankle or downsize it a little and get it to fly and put it on your lower abdomen. That might be cool too.
