She looks like pictures I've seen of rat terriers, but Ive only had a jack russell before. She has a deformed front right paw, and she can barely bark. It's more of a staggard, sickly cry/whine. Her ears stand straight up til just about half an inch before the tip, and then fall. I have a great dane and I'm afraid I just don't know that much about her. Is her "bark" supposed to sound that way? She still has the puppy wrinkles on her face, so I'm assuming she isn't more than a couple months old. (12 weeks tops). I really want to know what type of puppy she is, so that I may take the necessary steps in caring for her.

Make sure you call around to see if anyone is looking for their dog. Take the dog to the vets to get her checked and updated on shots. The vet will be able to help you with what is wrong with the dogs bark, sounds like this dog is sick and need nourishment. If you do get to keep the dog, knowing the general information about what dogs of her size and terrier background will be fine. Knowing the roots of a dog is not necessary to own a dog. Knowing how to train and care for a dog is essential. Good Luck

Miniature Pinschers DO NOT have white markings to that extent and that puppy is not at all a purebred Min Pin. It is possible she is a Rat Terrier, and also possible she's a mix of some sort. It will become more clear as she gets older. Buy a pet store puppy, accept that what you get is really an unknown.

well she kind of sound like a rat terrier because i have a male and he is only 4 months and when i got him he was like around 9-10 weeks old and he kinda barked funny like whining or some thing but let me tell you at first they act all shy but ones they get comfortable they are a dynamite my has so much energy that we gave him a nickname speedy Gonzalez from the cartoons they are fun to have he keeps my pit bull on her feet but they could also be so sweet.. well you are in luck if she really turns out to be a rat terrier have fun with her.....

i can't tell u what kind of dog it might be if i can't see a picture. besides what breed it is doesn't determine how u should take care of it. i would take it to the vet immediately, its foot could be infected, and it could have picked up any number of diseases on the streets, all of which could be transfered to ur dane. plus the vet can tell u what kind of dog u have or what it might be mixed with if its a mutt. hope this helps. much ♥ to u for taking in the poor thing tho :)

well you should reallypost a picture somewhere . but your most obvious choice would be to take her to your vet and find out how to care for her . do you think that maybe somebody left her there figuring someone would take her in? thank god for ppl like you cause she probably would have stayed at the gas station thinking someone was coming back for her. you know? i do not know why ppl do that ? I wish you good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

Does it look like this link?
I would take it to the vet ASAP.
Make sure it's OK then figure out the rest later.
Good luck!

Try "MUTT/MONGREL".

Describe color, size & sex...so the ignorant don't dismiss it as the WRONG "breed"in the LOST & FOUND ads you place!!!!!

NOT your dog!!
