I visited the doc, he did not check me for strep, said it was sinus infection related but 2 days after starting antibiotics, i got a couple tiny white spots on the back of my throat and red blisters on my throat and tounge. The sore throat started 11 days ago, and hurts as bad now as it did the first day, horrible! cant swallow! Got a little better for a couple days and hurt more in my neck and ears but then right back to the throat.

So my question is do white spots and blisters only occur with strep?

thank you

The spots are very characteristic of strep throat. Maybe you should get a second opinion. If left untreated you could get rheumatic fever or a series of other serious complications could arise. I would get it checked out again just to be safe.

Hope you get to feeling better.

you very well may not have shown any symptoms to strep in the earliest stages, but most likely have it now... or tonsillitis. Go back to the doctor ASAP.

find a new doctor, you either have strep or tonsilitis.

Do you still have your tonsiles? If so maybe it is time to have them removed.
