Is there a *XX number I can use to block a certain number on a landline phone?

You should call your land line service provider and ask for call rejection, this is a feature usually offered with caller ID. Most services offer this service with the ability to block up to 15 numbers. To access the menu dial *60, and * 80 to deactivate, but I think you have to have the service for this to work.

Many phone companies offer a service called "call block" which can generally block up to 12 numbers from calling you. The * code for it is *60, but it must be activated on your line.

Talk to your service provider and they should be able to do something about it.
