How can I ask my friend out?

I've known him for half a year now, we talk every day. I think the feeling is mutual. How can I ask him out, but the way I ask doesn't exactly sound like I'm asking him out, almost if....I might be asking him out?

If theres a good movie that you both want to see say hey do you want to see(w/e movie) with me? that way it'll be like a date and kinda friends hanging out.

just talk about relationships and then maybe ask why he isn't in one cause he's a great guy and very cute! and then say something like, shoot if i had the balls i would so ask you out.. i think thats cute and sweet and something a guy would think isn't all corney like "will you be my boyfriend"... good luck and best wishes!
