I did, and I cried.. I know that the suffering in the movie, according to bible scholar, are nothing compare the real thing.
Jesus could step down from the cross anytime, but He did it all the way. To paid for our sin. He shed His blood, so we don't have to go to hell.
His blood cleansed us, purify us, sanctify us, and washed us from our sin.
I'm a born again Christian, long before the movie came out. That day my husband and I bought 25 tickets, and we gave it all for free to unbeliever on the street (muslim, budhist, hindu, atheist ). I don't know if they come to Christ, but at least we plant the seeds on them.

I cried a little, usually I don't cry so for a movie to do that is really significant. The movie itself was great, that must have been the closest portrayal of the Passion that has ever come out to this day. I would not be surprised if there were converts. Mel Gibson did a great job with the movie and I am running out of ways to say that. Bottom line: awesome movie!

I hated the movie, I understand that he went through pain and suffering for us, but the movie shows nothing about the life of Jesus Christ. It shows like five 3 second scenes about his past... I want to watch the passion of Christ. I want his life story, I want to see all the good he did, and then watch him get tortured. I mean, I don't want to watch that.. I just mean, seeing him get whipped and beat the way they showed it in the movie would have touched me more if I was first shown what a passionate loving character Jesus is. But the movie never showed me that side of Jesus, so I just watched a guy get tortured and I don't know why...

As a person I understand who Jesus was and the many miracles and good deeds he has performed, I'm just saying, as a movie watcher, I don't understand the good deeds he did, know what I mean? They should have showed his lifes work first. To me, that movie is trying to convert people by making us feel sorry for what he went through, without explaining why he went through all that.

And actually, I would have much perfered to just watch the miracles he performed than to watch the suffering he went through... There is no need to show us how much he suffered, we all know he suffered, died, and was buried...They could have done without being so graphic... No Christian movie should ever be rated anything above G.

Terrible movie. Like The Dude previously mentioned, who wants to watch two hours straight of a guy getting beaten to death? It would have been much more interesting if it included extended reference to Christ's life as a child, since that isn't brought up much in the bible. I'm still waiting for a good movie based on religion to come to the theaters, but until then, secularity still dominates the drive-in.

I thought it was a bad film. The title was deceiving. It should have been named, "The Torture and Killing of Jesus" instead of "The Passion of the Christ." There was very little shown to depict the passion of Jesus. I don't know why anyone would want to sit through so many hours of "torture". Mel Gibson should have spent more time outlining the life of Jesus and his good works and perhaps devoted the last fifteen minutes to his crucifixion. I think it would have been much more effective that way. But that's just my opinion.

Yes -being a Human we do cried for whatever he suffer! No it's not bad if you have cried while watching the movie. It's your natural love for him. When you are in Love with Jesus-He loves you too. Many became Christian after watching the movie. It's not just a movie, but telling us what happened to him! and How and why? and thereafter we see the Passion of the Christ!

Dear Friend,
No, I did not see the movie. You see that would violate the 2nd commandment (Exodus 20:4). The man who portrayed the Lord committed sin just as everyone that came to view the movie. "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Mel Gibson should be tarred and feathered.
Jesus's life was amazing enough to affect the entire planet for the past 2,000 years, messiah or not.
His death was no more tragic than any prisoner of war, or child burned almost to death in a fire only to suffer for weeks in a hospital then die.
WAKE UP BOY!!!

It was a difficult movie to watch, no doubt about it. Gibson did an excellent job of bringing forth the pain and agony of Christ.
