I always get relief from a hot soak in the tub. Don't forget the ibuprofen!

Drink plenty of water, your body makes lactic acid when you are doing long strenuous workouts and that is why your muscles are sore. So, if you drink a lot of water or gatorade you will flush out the lactic acid. Also, heat applied to the area works, heating blanket or warm moist wash cloth in the microwave until semi hot and that works. Good luck with the soreness, the second day is usually the worst so make sure to drink plenty of water.

Stretching the sore muscles. Will hurt when you are stretching, but will make them feel better after. Hot bath and/or hot tub will do wonders. Topical ointments (tiger balm, absorbene, etc..) help too. Shy away from ingested meds (ibruprophen, etc...). In the future, warm up the muscles before a heavy workout and cool down after. High protein meal before and after helps too.

Hot showers usually work for me. while you're taking the shower rub the hurt muscle in a circular motion.
If that doesnt work, you might have an injury or just pulled it too hard. if it hurts too bad you can always head down to walgreens and get something to rub on it.

Make sure you keep them loose. If you're all tight and tense, try getting a friend or family member to give you a little massage to loosen you up. It'll also help you to relax! Also, try taking Tylenol, Advil, or another pain medicine. Icy-Hot patches work really well too!
Good Luck!

After every workout, you should cool down,or your muscles will hurt for days later. You should walk one or two miles or do some slow swiming after a workout so your muscles don't hurt later on.

SLEEP on the floor. The flat surface will REALLY HELP to relieve pressure, pain, and stress. Also, calm your temples. Place a warm paper towel on your forehead to calm yourself down. Also, for your legs, massage them. They require more attention, so does your back. Drink water and DONT OVER EXCERCISE! Don't overdo medicine either.
