Your question sort of scratches where it doesn't itch.
Jesus is considered "The Great Physician". Why would Christians want to do away with physicians in general?
The problem with modern medicine is its inefficiency. You ask if it's "bad to fix health problems". What you're missing is that "modern medicine" doesn't fix anything, they treat symptoms, not causes of diseases.
Christians are good at forgetting why God gave the law, so I'll paste it in here:
Ex 15:26
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
KJV
The law of God was given to keep us disease free.
Now go on ignoring it and think of something nasty to say to me.

Lovely. Are we fixing God's mistakes? Means that He is fallible? There is no clear scripture from Jesus about this, but we can compare. When your ox falls into a ditch on the sabbath, do you let it die or do you go in and pull it out. This was meant (and paraphrased) to show that the sabbath was not in all command of human action, but the part I see is the doing something so the animal doesn't suffer. So, He may have given us something to refer to. Maybe this wasn't even an issue, then. We are told our bodies are corrupt. We can do what we need to, to help healing.

Definitely. Making choices based on reason and compassion, or examining our values in a modern context, clearly demonstrates Satan's influence. If it doesn't say something is OK in the Bible, then we should assume it is sinful.
This means that not only is stem cell research the Devil's work, but so is cardiac surgery, neurology, anesthesiology, oncology; actually, every type of medicine beyond prayer is sinful and should be stopped immediately. If your child gets strep throat, you should ask God to heal them. If they die because you refused to give them simple antibiotics, then it was clearly God's Will. God expects us to just sit around on our fat asses and let him do everything for us, rather than using our brains even a teensy bit to help other people.

How do you know that God didn't include modern medicine because God knew that we would encounter these kinds of problems???

ppftt, please.
Tell me the people that think that have never taken paracetamlo or anti biotics. Or even immunisation. You can die from those diseases and polio can cripple you.
That's like asking Is it bad that we are preventing health problems that God didn't consider? And you can't tell me that not one Christain/Catholic/Orthodox/Anglican person doesn't take any medication or isn't immunized.

If God didn't want there to be medicine then those things wouldn't be put on this earth, now would he? Have you read the book, "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown? This topic is brought up.

No, we shouldn't stop using medicine. God gave people the intelligence and wisdom to make it. And He gives wisdom to doctors when to use it. And He expects us to use wisdom in using it. God considered everything.

According to most Christians the world is going to end soon anyway... why bother? Oh but let's waste as much time as possible on stopping abortions for some reason. I often wonder if Christians even value life at all. Especially when they are so hell bent on the end of all life on earth coming as soon as possible.

in Gods perfect world that He created before sin came into it no one got sick or hurt so there was no need for 'medicine' but now that there is sin the world is no longer perfect and people get sick and hurt and die.
so no it is not wrong to try and save people or make them better with medicine! and its not something that God didnt think of, He just created the world to be perfect and without sickness.

I feel there is to much dependence on medicine, if people would work on their spirit as much as they work for the material things, there wouldn't be such a dependence on drugs to alter our moods keeping our souls bound to the world.
