I do not agree with it. People who believe in Global warming are claiming that temperatures of risen over the past 10, 100, 1000 years. However the earth has been around for billions of years. How can you judge a temperate increase over the course of the last 1000 years and say that we are all going to die because of global warming. Who's to say that 1 billion years ago we saw the same temperature increases as we are seeing today.

Yes, I believe in global warming. There is more than enough scientific evidence to support the fact that the earth is changing in ways that it never has before.
Yes, there have been changes in the earth in the past, cycles the earth goes through- and has gone through- long before humans appeared. Setting that aside, scientists have studied ice cores and soil cores from deep below the surface which tell amazing stories. Did you know that they can tell what the atmosphere was made up of at any time during the earth's history, back to millions of years ago, including the amount of CO2 and Oxygen present, when major volcanos erupted and more?!
What IF we humans have contributed to these changes? Think of it this way: what if you never went to the doctor until you felt you were about to die? Then you would want the doctor to fix you and make you feel better. I am sure that your doctor would say that if you had come in for regular check-ups and preventative 'maintenance' you would not be in as bad of shape. It is the same with the earth. We must monitor it, take care of it and do the maintenance we need to.
Those who discredit scientists are not really looking at the facts. They are scared because they don't understand it. They fear what their minds cannot comprehend. Just because we don't understand it doesn't mean it's not true or isn't happening. Remember the story of Christopher Columbus -who dared to sail off the edge of the earth? What did he discover? That the earth wasn't flat at all! He made an amazing discovery that others were not willing to even attempt to understand.
This is the case now with global climate change. No one fully understands the causes, the effects or the solutions. But, there is something to be studied and we should not ignore it.
If you need yet another reason, think about what we will tell our children and grandchildren when they ask why we didn't work to stop the climate change.... especially if the predictions become even half as true as the scientists have been telling us.

The politics needs to be removed from the climate change debate. The last ice age ended about 15,000 years ago and scientists can't explain why or why it started. There is also physical evidence that at one time, Alaska was a tropical region. At another period, the great Inland Sea covered most of what is now the central USA.
The people that keep yelling global warming never attempt to explain these naturally occuring earth cycles.
Also realize that some 'greenies' want to limit the use of fuels to inhibit 'green house gases' - this means that coal and petroleum will not be allowed. Yet they don't propose any alternatives. Nearly all the electrical energy produced in this country is generated by coal and fossil fuels. Heaven help you if you suggest building a new hydro-electric plant.
The current plans of the extreme environmentalist will destroy the economy and liveable conditions in this country. Yet, there is no attempt to make China and India reduce carbon emissions, just the current industrialized nations, especially the USA. China and India are two of the greatest polluters.
Is the climate changing, yes, do we know why? Probably not, because evertime a true scientist presents research that the greenies disagree with or it doesn't fit their agenda, attempts are made to discredit the scientist and his research.
Al Gore claims to be an expert but never presents factual scientific evidence to support his claims. This is why politics must be removed from the discussion of climate change.
