What are your thoughts on global warming?

Particularly if you saw oprah dec.5.2006.What are the best ways to get people to DO something about this?

Me I DEFINITELY think that our lifestyle is indeed affecting the environment. I think that global warming is a terrible issue plaguing our planet. Here are some means which I try to practice to reduce global warming. I encourage my parents to let me walk to school instead of they driving me. I am person that studies Environmental Science therefore I try my best to implore to people means of keeping a healthy environment. All I do is try best to ensure we have a clean environment by telling them about the effects of global warming. Right now its critical that we educate others about global warming. In addition, the pizza place where I work part time uses there waste carbon dioxide emitted to heat there hot water needed for various reasons. I was the one who encouraged this after seeing this on television. People should try to encourage this practice as the carbon dioxide emitted in atmosphere cause global warming. In addition, we use motorcycles powered by electricity when delivering pizza. All we can do is educate people on the topic as much possible. These include ways such as through the media ( radio, t.v. , newspaper), going into our schools and workplaces, using billboards, flyers, advertising on food articles such as boxes etc. Just as much as possible to tell about this problem and in doing so we evaluate the effects of gobal warming and ultimately means of mitigating the issue.

Global warming is a serious problem and people can deal with it in a variety of ways. Yes, I saw the Oprah episode with Al Gore and yes, I believe that Global Warming DOES exist. The thing is, people can most importantly RECYCLE!!!! This saves energy and helps the environment. If you are old enough, consider buying a hybrid or electric car, they are about the same cost as a converntional vehicle, but use less gas and therefore, pollute less. Lastly, build a windmill (just kidding), you can buy those energy saver lightbulbs or simply turn off appliances and household light when they are not in use. Those are just a few ways that you can help the environment and somewhat diminish global warming. The sad fact is, people don't do a lot about it and the younger generation will end up suffering. I learned about global warming and the environment 'cause I took Environmental Science for three years and learned about this over and over again. The best thing that you can do is educate yuorself and others. Hope that helped!

it's all a lie by the liberal media and smart people. global warming isn't happening, i couldn't do anything about if it was, it would cost too much to do something about it if it was happening, and it's not my problem cuz i'll be dead when something bad happens. now if you'll excuse me i need to finish paving the world so i can drive around in my hummer

I thin hummans have screwed themselfs over. they are in need of a wake up call, and they will get that when earth becomes just like mars: uninhabitable.

well, ways to correct it could be if car manufacturers all started equipping their cars with the ability to use ethynol fuel, and if factories started using water power, then alot of the problem should be corrected after x-number of years.

Are you going to give up your car and start riding a mule/ Are you going to turn off your elect? No one else is going to. All this crap is going to do is tax people to study it and in the end nothing is going to be done.
