Notify the local animal shelter that you have cats destroying your property and file a complaint. Depending on where you live, they may be able to remove the animals and bar them from having more than two or three.

I would recommend trapping the cats in a HaveAHeart trap. Take them to the local no-kill animal shelter. If they're running around un-neutered, they'd be better off with someone else.

There are sprays to keep cats away, (check Petco and Petsmart), but I'm afraid that there are too many cats to be effective.

If you have a homeowners' association, turn them in. There are limits in a lot of areas as to how many pets one household can have. If no association, check with the county code enforcement in your county to see what the rules are.

I feel for you. I've recently dealt with neighbors that run a generator instead of PG&E, couches on lawns, 11 vans and cars at one house, roosters, etc.
Sigh. In a nice neighborhood.

Good luck to you! Hope this helps! :)

A high powered water pistol filled with Mineral Turpentine.
Take aim at the brown eye whist the tail is up. That cat will be airborn to the moon in 5 seconds flat, never to be seen in your neighborhood again
I am in Australia and there is a law about the number of cats you can keep They are not permitted to roam at night and during the day their yard has to be totally covered like a cage. Only the most dedicated cat owners want to share the backyard cage. The total area has to be cat wired. Perhaps start lobbying your council for changes to cat legisslation. In meantime use option above

the quick answer is you won't be able to. I really have got here upon that once a cat will grow to be indoor/outside, all you need to do is (attempt) to relax and only save issues as pleasing to her as accessible at abode. That way she'll stick round in route of abode. I really have said that my cats (those that bypass out) look to have a fringe they stay interior. She probable isn't going too a thoughts away. Does the neighbor thoughts? i does no longer imagine so yet anybody is extraordinary. I stressful a lot about my cats- coyotes, automobiles, and so on.- and they only look to have a personality i understand no longer some thing about at the same time as they're outdoors. One's 15 and they different 2 are 5. also, their shades blend in with thier surroundings...get a cat door and save her in at evening.

Tell the owners you will call the ASPCA if they continue being irresponsible and letting their animals on your property. Cats are pets, just like dogs, and, while they should be let outside (on a harness or in a specially designed cat-run), they should not be on your property. I'm sure the owners won't do anything about it, even after you threaten to call the ASPCA, so then next time you spot them on your yard, call the authorites to remove the cats. If they have damaged any of your property, then send them a bill to fix or replace it. Its not your responsibilty to keep others pets off your property, its the owners.

well my problem was similar. i have two cats, but one always stays outside cause it hates the other one. i have to feed the outside one by setting food and water on the porch, but all the other neigborhood cats eat it too. so what i did, was snag my outside and inside cats, kepp em in all night, and put a moustrap in the foodbowl. the next morning it was set off. i do this every now and again and it seems to help. so take whatever pets you have and keep em inside for a while. set up a sh!t load of moiusetraps every now and again and eventually the cats will stop coming around. OR, but a sprinkler that is motion sensitive. if it sees something movie it nukes it. theyre about $30

There is no leash law for cats, so you are stuck with them roaming ... a dog might work, but unless you want your dog outside ALL the time, it's of no use. I've seen other people put up chicken wire at the top of the fence, to detour cats from climbing into that. Good Luck!

Get a dog! We don't even have cats walk across the front yard let alone the back :) Isn't there some kind of law about having that many cats???

Fence it, and get a dog to scare them off.

Also, you really need to talk to your neighbor. They are allowing THEIR pets to crap in your yard. You could even call the police about it, or animal control. This is a problem. If you don't want to start crap with your neighbor.. the best way is to fence it and get a dog to keep them out of there.

A large dog in your back yard that dis-liked cats would certainly help!

Failing that call the ASPCA and your animal control officer, to see about having them removed.

In answer to your cat problem ,Plant as many marigolds around your yard as you can . Cats can not stand the smell of them and will stay away . I planted them all around my garden and the cats never went in it again.
