My girlfriend likes to be possesive and likes to take control of things..alot of the time. I heard that its not cool to give her everything that she wants because that just lets her know that she can run over me and gives her the notion that, im a boring person. she does it sometimes and when i tell her about it she will laugh and say "i think i need to put you in your place" or "i think someone is getting brave" so what do i do? should i not answer the phone everytime she calls? should i not hold her everytime she wants me to hold her? should i turn into an asshole? im only being who i am a smart, curious, and sometimes well most of the time sensitive person. i dont want to be ran over like i have been in the past relationships, What do i do? I would like to hear this from the male and females point of view.

no..those power games never work. If you aren't allowed to assert yourself get out of the relationship. I don't mean not compromising but standing up for what you think is important.
If she can't handle that, move on. Its a cliche but true love has to have genuine respect and friendship at its base.

start standing up for yourself, and show her that she will not get her way all the time, a relationship is about compromise, let her know that you would like to start making some decisions in the relationship because the relationship isn't all about what she wants all the time, both partners should meet each other halfway and you have done more than enough to meet her needs and decisions, it is time for her to meet you halfway and let you have some input on things, next time she tries to be possessive tell her that you want to make some decisions if she doesn't like it then tell her that maybe she is better off by herself because you are tired of being in a one-sided relationship...

just say no when she tell you to do something when she makes a smart remark tell her to shove it and leave , dont answer her calls for 2 days should do it

Ok, this is a difficult situation because she's your girlfriend. BUT, you're her boyfriend, not her dog. You don't have to take orders. That's not right for her to do, or for you to put up with. If she's ASKING (not demanding) you to do something, and you WANT to do it, then do it, but if its something you don't want to do, then tell her and tell her why. Tell her if she wants to give orders to get a dog. There aren't many sensitive guys out there anymore and she's lucky to have found one!

i would say to breakup with her unless you are sure you can fix the relationship between you 2 somehow beacuse if u dont wanna answer the phone everytime she calls thats probly a sign that u should breakup

she sucks! break up with her and she will realize that she was taking you for granted, and if she doesn't then you don't need to be with such a horrible controlling wench.
