You don't know your Bible at all. In one circumstance Christ told Peter to put away His sword, that is not always the rule of life. Why was Peter carrying a sword if Christ was against it?
Luke 22:35 "And Jesus said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing." 36 And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. 37 "For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, `AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS'; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment." 38 They said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough."

pay attention the Jehovah Witness. those insidious beliefs are creeping slowly into sturdy Christianity, and delivered by the faux prophets Paul warned about. study Romans 13. It tells all about filing to the authorities, and is sparkling about it. "yet in case you do incorrect, be afraid, for the authorities are God's servants to convey punishment on the perpetrator..." they "do no longer undergo the sword for no longer some thing." that's talking about effects for criminal action. it truly is punishment from the minor issues to the lack of life penalty. God is curious about the lack of life penalty. it truly is a justifiable punishment and effect for heinous sin on earth. Then there continues to be the judgment to face for the guy. those are authorities and society regulations. For the guy, individual to individual, God says you shall no longer homicide, yet killing interior the call of and with the authority of the authorities is permitted, as in similar concept, the soldier in conflict. JW do not trust Jesus is deity, so that they don't look to be Christians besides. God will positioned them with the goats and the criminals they received't punish because they're too cowardly. the position may society be on the instant if all regulation abiding voters were JW's? Criminals may rule because of their lack of action. they trust this kind, yet interior are gratefull some different person is keen to do the grimy paintings that enables you to faux to be morally extra perfect. there is extra undesirable information of the JW. If Christ isn't God He ought to no longer die on your sins, because that He may have His own to die for. subsequently you're nonetheless on your sins, and perishing......

You are absolutely correct. Some sects of Christianity, such as the Mennonites believe that. Many of them were killed by the Catholic church, but the survivors have many, many descendants.
When Genghis Khan was attacking the Sami (indigenous peoples of Finland), he was unsuccessful and swore he would never return to attack them because they kept disappearing. They wouldn't stay and fight in order to be defeated. Their descendents are still alive too.
Maybe it's time to value peace above pride.

What Bible are you reading? Here's what Jesus REALLY said:
Luke 22:36
he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
KJV
The admonition to "turn the other cheek" was a specific context, which you seem to want to ignore.

No, Jesus did not want us to be cowards. We are to fight fortruth and justice, and His word. Fighting even to the death in defense of His word. This is why we have martyrs.

the bible also teaches an eye for an eye and there are many examples of just war and combat (think David v Goliath). just because they aren't a complete death cult (like the muslims) doesn't mean they are pacifists either
