I live in Miami and I'n getting married this June. I had planned on a Caribbean cruise.. but found out there are virtually no cruses in June and July... which makes no sense to me at all!.... But anyways, now I'm stuck... I need help to find a place to go that I can go and be back in like 6 days.. (I have like no vacation time left)...and I'm on a $1200/person budget....any suggestions?

Cruise lines do not travel to the Caribbean in June due to the uncomfortable heat. You can always take a cruise to Canada/New Enland or Alaska during that time. They are both beautful. for your price you should be able to fly to Vera Cruz or Cancun and stay in a resort there. That is nice too.

Consider a trip to New York. I mean if you have not been there before If you have it may seem stupid for a Honeymoon. How about Vegas.

Also just so you know I am a cruise specialist and Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwiegn all sail in June to the Caribbean.

Departure Sun, Jun 17 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise
Itinerary: Roundtrip Miami
Ship Name: Carnival Valor
Cruise Line: Carnival Cruise Lines

There are all kinds of cruises in June and July. Trouble is it's during the peak season for cruise lines because of families going since kids are out of school so the cruises are more expensive.

Look into a Miami to Western Caribbean 4-5 day cruise for a better priced one that will take you to Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Cozumel. But yes, you will pay more than off-peak season (October-December).

Another trick since you are right there in Miami is to check on last-minute deals (usually within a week or sailing) that some will give if they have more than expected available cabins. You can do this by checking with a travel agency. The down side is if the week you are wanting is pretty well filled, you're out of luck.

You said the lack of Caribbean cruises this time of year makes no sense to you. I do have an answer for you and it isn't like another poster said about "unbearable Caribbean heat".

That time of year is Alaska and Europe season and cruise lines send several ships to these destinations and just leave a few in the Caribbean. Plus for shorter cruises you are limited to Carnival or RCCL. Europe and Alaska are seasonal due to weather reasons.

Good Luck to you!
