He wants you to do right for the sake of doing right ... not because some omniscient power showed himself and gave you the reward and punishment scenario. That would be too predictable.

He has! You should read Exodus 33, and that will better explain why God has not been seen physically- for He is all spirit and His glory is so majestic it could actually kill a person just by looking at Him- read Exodus 33 about Moses seeing the "back of God"
-Also Romans 1:20 is very clear on How God has shown Himself:
20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

The trinity doesn't carry scriptural water. it truly is a doctrine invented centuries after the finest bible author had died and the Bible became finished. Romans 1:19-20 that which is known about God is evident within them, for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish bur for all to come to repentance.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
Deuteronomy 4:29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search with all your heart and all your soul.

That's the big question, girlfriend. Why, indeed!
The believers will say you must have faith because the Bible tells us to. But the rational thinkers will say something that does not exist cannot be revealed. That's why they believe in the science that says the world as we know it has evolved over time and didn't suddenly just appear one day out of thin air. Either theory has holes and is near impossible to prove so the debate rages on... How did we get here? Where is here? Why are we here? How long has here been here? etc... Questions that fry our piddly little brains. :0) Maybe we just weren't meant to understand.

this is what i think. god can't reveal his light to you until you give up your demand that he show himself physically to you. God is in a form that you can see that looks like the brightest light and does not have a physical form. God does not interfere in our daily lives but gives us the power to create our own reality by turning our thoughts and beliefs into actual things.
god can have a personal discussion with each of us on a telepathic level, but god does not have a body or a voice.
meeting god can open up difficult paradoxes that the mind must be able to accept. in gods heaven everything on earth is perfect at this moment.
when you are ready, god will find you.

He does reveal himself to you on a daily basis, but just obviously not in the way that you want him to reveal himself. Quite frankly if he did reveal himself to you and answered your questions would that be enough to quell your questioning? We as human beings are always questioning and trying to figure things out and he allows us to, but I don't think we could ever be satisfied, even if he gave us all of the answers. Also, some answers we wouldn't get, we're not God, were tiny little humans that were made by him and we're not going to understand everything in the universe even if he told us about it. We're not meant to as humans, we'll know someday, but for now, enjoy the journey of exploration on your own.

al salam aleykum....a hard question but with such a simple answer.....God cannot reveal himself....because it would be too much for us....Moses asked the same question and God answered that if he wanna see Him first He will show himself to the mountain near Moses and then there was a light and the mountain transformed in dust ...imagine if a mountain can't resist ...will u?
and another thing look around u ...God is around us...in the sky in the land everywhere....u can feel Him when the sun arise and when it set out ...u can see the order in the univers in animals and plants and everything....the fact u can see u can feel ,the way u smell and touch....ur body is perfect...the way it is functioning....all those are miracles that we forgot everyday...and we forgot to thank for them...al salam aleykum May God be with u

Dear Pancake,
You are forgetting that God (Jesus Christ) is Holy. We, mankind, are vile sinners. Our sins have separated us from the Lord. If you read Ephesians 2:1-3 you will understand that we are spiritually DEAD. We may breath and eat but we are dead in sins and tresppases and cannot hear God, much less obey Him. However, the Lord in His graciousness and mercy determined to save some of these rebels and make them His children. This is what is called "being born from above"(born again). The Lord gives a person a new soul in which he/she loves God and, therefore, wants to be obedient to Him. A person can do nothing to merit salvation. However, the environment in which the Lord does this is in the environment of hearing the word of God. We read in Romans 10:17, "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." FAITH is a synonym for the Lord Jesus (Revelation 19:11). So then, Christ cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
My suggestion to you is to read the Bible and ask the Lord to have mercy on you. Then you must wait on the Lord. This will not ensure that you will become saved but the Lord will know of your desire.
I neglected to tell that God owes us nothing. Because we have sinned against Him, we ALL deserve to go to hell. But God is very merciful.

He walked and talked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. He was openly revealed to them. But when they sinned, he withdrew his presence. They could no longer tolerate him because of his holiness. The relationship was broken.
That's what the first few chaptes of the Bible is about, the rest of it is all about how to restore that relationship. Now people must come to him in faith. People are blinded by sin, but when they ask God to forgive them of sin, then he takes it away. But they must ask in genuine faith, not as a test for God to prove himself. Then he will reveal himself in many different ways.
He reveals himself through his word, through his creation, and sometimes he surprises us with answers.
