NORTHERN ONTARIO!!!! The most beautiful place in the world (well I think so because I live there!) The North Channel(and Georgian bay) is incredibly beautiful and so is Manitoulin Island the largest freshwater island in the world!! with Lake Manitou (about 104 km²) is the largest lake in a freshwater island in the world.

Georgian Bay is about 320 kilometres long by 80 kilometres wide. It covers over 15,000 square kilometres, making it almost as large as Lake Ontario. Eastern Georgian Bay is part of the southern edge of the Canadian Shield, a geological formation carved out by the retreating glaciers at the end of the last ice age, about 11,000 years ago. The granite rock formations and windswept Eastern White Pine are characteristic of the islands and much of the shoreline of the bay. The beauty of the area has inspired landscapes by artists of the Group of Seven

Northern Ontario has a land area of 802,000 km² (310,000 mi²) and constitutes 87% of the land area of Ontario, although it contains less than 7% of the population.
Most of Northern Ontario is situated on the Canadian Shield, a vast rocky plateau. The climate is characterized by extremes of temperature, extremely cold in winter and hot in summer.

(In Ontario)There are approximately 250,000 lakes and over 100,000 kilometres (62,000 mi) of rivers in the province.
Ontario is known for the amount of lakes, rivers it contains. About one-third of the world's fresh water can be found in Ontario[4]. Ontario is also known for being the only province in Canada for touching the great lakes. Ontario touches four of the great lakes: Huron, Lake Ontario (the province is named after the lake), Erie and Superior.

Here are some excellent pictures of the scenery of Northern Ontario at the hunting lodge where I used to live... http://www.thunderbearlodge.com/general-gallery/moose.htm

Where I choose and where I have to are 2 different locations. For work purposes, I need to live where there jobs in my field, the GTA is the best area for that. Oakville to be exact. Where I'd like to live is Cape Breton in a heart beat, for the people and the beauty.....when I retire.

Cheers.

In order of preference:

1) Montreal. It is a great city if you like nightlife, beautiful women and European feel.

2) Ottawa: Big city feel without the problems like snarled traffic. People in service jobs like store clerks and wait staff are very polite and pleasant.

3) Vancouver: Beautiful view of mountains etc.

last place) Toronto: I always feel smothered in the only American city in Canada.

I chose to live in Redcliff,Alberta. Its a small town just outside Medicine Hat.This area has a mild climate in comparison to most of Canada and the most sunny days. The people are very friendly and we have a low crime rate.

Canada is such a nice place it would be hard to decide. I think Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto would be good for me, but I would actually probably prefer smaller towns on the outskirts of these cities.
