DHC has a purified olive oil cleanser. L'Occitane has olive oil products. They're too much for my skin, but maybe they would work for you. Also check out the Atopalm - I think the skinstore (online) was giving away free samples once.

Try using a lighter olive oil. Or use only a little and mix it with either Jojoba oil (its pricey, but a little goes a long way.) or Vitamin E in the liquid form or use the capsule by piercing it and extracting the oil from it.
Also, massage your skin really well. The oils may absorb better.

Olive oil is WONDERFUL stuff for your skin but the only suggestion I really have for you would be to add a drop of scented oil to it or just apply the olive oil at night.

I would advise putting olive oil on your skin before you bathe. Be sure to rub it in very well. There are other oils you can use, too. Coconut oil is good. Jojoba oil is even better, but very expensive.

if nothing else works, i suggest Nivea Soft, it moisturizes my skin the best out of all the products ive tried. it has Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil in it.

NIVEA Soft is specially formulated with:

-Jojoba Oil that nourishes the skin.

-Vitamin E that protects the skin's natural structure.

take vitamin E capsules and drink a lot of water and use a good moisturizer.
but to get rid of the odor on your face now, wash it with a good soap (like Neutrogena Original Formula bar soap.) then start again with what i said above.

yes, i do beleive it is. Try using it only at night and wash in the morning. My mom is 65 and her face/skin is beiutiful. She always used olive oil and she looks almost like my sister.

Try a toner, or a non drying face wash.

Make sure neither of them contain alcohol, as they will dry out your skin even more.
