No, once the ends are split, they are split. It is very important that you trim them to get rid of the splits.... and to prevent more - use a hot oil treatment as often as you feel you need it, or an intense conditioner. Split ends is an indication of dry hair.

Although trimming the ends is the only solution to your split end problems, I found that using pure extra virgin olive oil worked very well. Warm about 1/2 cup to 1 cup, depending on your hair length, in the microwave. You have to be careful not to overheat it. Apply the warm oil to dry hair, focusing on the areas with the most problems. Stay away from the roots. Pile your hair on top of your head and leave it for an hour if you can. Then jump in the shower, shampoo and condition your hair. When you style it, you should feel the difference it makes. I would recommend doing this treatment every other week. This is only a temporary solution. To keep your hair healthy, you really should get a trim every 6 to 8 weeks. The split ends only get worse if you leave them.

Get a trim. Regular trimming keeps it healthy, and it will look sooo much better. You dont have to get like 2 inches cut off, just get the split ends.

Take care of your hair really good!!! Wash your hair three times and let it blow dry then blow dry it then flat iron it. Also take the end of your hair and curl it with the curling iron. This would make your hair shiny and healthy. I know it doesn't answer Ur question but this would help. Also what would really really help is to trim your ends. It;s better to let someone trim your ends who has been doing it for a while or has experience. Just trim your ends.

Nothing will get rid of split ends except for cutting them off. Sad but true.

I recommend using Suave daily clarifying shampoo and Sunsilk "Straighten Up" conditioner. It works good on my hair because my hair's naturally wavy. Go to a Salon and ask them if that doesn't work.
