I was shopping at Publix. and I feel the area has a "high" druggie population. I am a single hard working mother with limited $ my life was in that planner. What kind of damage can be done my credit isn't the greatest and I have already notified my bank. are my childrens idenity in danger? any advice is welcome.

Funny thing is I NEVER carry all my important info with me. I had to do business that needed these documents...Live and learn PS I'm waiting for a call back from a sheriffs deputy.

cancel all your credit cards so the next purchases wont be charged towards you, and call the hospital your children were born at and they will usually send u a new copy of the birth certificates. And if you left it at Publix, ask the manager to return it to you if they ever do find it. Try and change as much stuff as you can so your children are safe. I only wish the best of luck towards you and your kids!!!

Talk to your local police department about filing a police report. Get a copy of the report and KEEP IT SAFE! This could save your bacon if someone does try to steal your identity. I've heard of people being arrested after thieves used their stolen checks.

Close your checking account right away. Miscreants could do all sorts of damage with that.

Report the stolen ss cards to ssa. Report your stolen license to the DMV. Obviously close your credit cards and debit cards.

Live and learn, do NOT keep all your valuable documents in one bag that you carry around with you! If you can't afford a safe deposit box, then file them some where secure at home and make copies of everything!

Oh, and file a letter with all the credit agencies.

Good luck, darlin'
