You will be saved by accepting Christ as your Savior. Since this seed is implanted in us naturally, retarted people I'm sure know this truth. We cannot possibly know what they are thinking inside. They accept this truth it is their forgiveness, and they too can be saved.

a severly retarded person or child has the inteliect and mind of a child and doesn't know wrong from right right like a normal person does so normally they are granted automatic forgiveness by God and Jesus, as most severly retarded people's mind are rated to be the ages under the biblical age of accountablity which is twelve-thirteen years old most ratings for severe retardation is a mental age of 12 years old and under so the answer is yes. as they don't know any better.

Of course, if the severly retarded even care about being saved. They most likely don't know right from wrong so how can something they do be "bad" when they don't know any better?

It is said that all children go to heaven....Matthew 19:14
"Suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me for such is the Kingdom of Heaven"--(Suffer is another way of saying enter or permit.) Therefore if a person severly retarded who would be childlike (not understand right from wrong) then their innocence would gain them entrance into Heaven. God being a merciful deity would not deny someone like this entrance into heaven.

The "severely retarded" person does not understand what they do is wrong they can not always grasp this concept that there are actions that are not acceptable. Where as the neurologically intact understand right from wrong but yes their creature understands their problems and will give forgiveness. The term retarded is not a nice one to use, perhaps mentally challenged wouldnt be so offensive

A "severely retarded" person would NOT KNOW the difference between Right or Wrong, just like any INNOCENT CHILD who is below the Age of Reason... true??

Peace be with you.

My personal experience has been they will imitate those around them therefore it's important they have Godly influences in their lives. I believe my cousin's Down's Syndrome child can know God because God talks to the heart and the Bible says that the plan of salvation is simple so that even a fool (one without understanding) need not err therein. They can definitely feel and be influenced by God's presence and I've been blessed many times by their testimonies and entertained by their imitations of people in the church. God's innocent angels they are!

I dont like the tone of your question.'Retarded' is an aweful word to use for a human being who has had the misfortune of having a handicap,be that physical or mental. Please choose your words a little more carefully. My wife's daughter died at 14 of a handicap, and also my 14 year old niece. If you came up to me in the street and asked me that question,I'd knock you out.

If God wills that he will be saved, than he will- or she will- for it says in John 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father draws them, and I will raise them up on the last day"
(Jesus speaking)
