Well, BDSM and D/s is explained from a secular viewpoint on porn sites. But recently I ran across a group for this on Yahoo and websites about Christians who practice this as a lifestyle. For those who know about this type of lifestyle, do you think it is or can be compatible with Christianity? Why or why not? Please feel free to use scriptures to support our views.
No one has given any scripture. Yes, I am interested in the concept, at least as far as the man being head of the home and responsible to take care of a woman. On the other hand, that can be carried too far. But has feminism taken us too far in the other direction?
Some one mentioned the use of pain, but there are many philosophies on the sexual and physical side of this that are all encompassed in BDSM .... at least from what I have read on the subject. Most are not sadistic.

Leviticus 18, talked about sexual immorality. It's a long chapter, but it goes through every sexual immorality that are against God..
BDSM, from what I understand is using violence for sexual pleasure.
Apostle Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:17-19
17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Our body is God's temple and we should respect it. And how can you respect you temple by using violence for your own pleasure.
To answer your question.. No.. BDSM and Christianity, according to bible passages that I read, are not compatible

in my opinion i imagine that if spanking, handcuffing, and dirty talk is what does it for some couples, large. i do not truly care about what occurs on your bedroom (yet i do not opt for to take heed to about it both, ok?). If each and anybody is having relaxing and that is, as they say, secure, sane, and consensual, astonishing. That being suggested, there are some factors of the BDSM existence style that are more advantageous severe and that i imagine are literally not acceptable for Christians. those must be the elements in contact in 'slavery' and actual draw close/slave relationships. Dehumanizing the only you're meant to love isn't component to God's plan.

well the golden rule of the bible says "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" so if you get pleasure from being tied up and spanked you should treat others the same way

Weirdness may not be a sin? Tell that to all those priests accused of child molestation, no, wait, they already think so, that IS the problem.

Are you married? I've always loved Christian women who are into S&M and bondage, nothing says "I love Christ" like some cheap leather sado gear.

Well, the Catholics used to flog themselves... So if your boyfriend or girlfriend is doing it, what's the difference?
What you do in your bedroom is your business and no one else's, including your religion's IMAO. (In my arrogant opinion)
