I would never dream of asking Perfect Christ into my heart, it is a sewer according to scripture.
However, I did trust Christ for my salvation, the holy spirit made a place for Christ to dwell in my heart, but God did all the calling and inviting, all I did was respond with a nonmeritorious act of faith. Faith alone in Christ alone!
Being a good moral person with a good life and all that is a bunch of codswallop before God's Perfect Righteousness, That is why Christ was sent to pay the price for all sin that had been or ever would be committed.

The close relationship comes by faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God.

I have heard many times of a God I can not see, of one who either is not or chooses to not be. I have heard it said many times I am a sinner in need of a savior yet I do not understand why.
I am happy, I live a clean life surrounded by people I love and who love me, I do not steal, I do not lie, I do not cheat, murder or covet.
Could it be that I would need to be saved, why is that, I do not understand why this savior is needed?

Many time- as many priest or those who read the Bible in Public Place they use to say us Jesus is our savior.Yes Many time.It's like this once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior - you are in a strong relationship with him Even if you like to break the relationship-even he won't break with you.He is Light ! Spirit!Go forth and be a messenger of Hope.Point the way to healing by his gratefulness.Choose the path of forgiveness and you will weep tears of joy for the goodness you find in all.

Um, is this a trick question? Hasn't everyone heard of "God?" There's no proof that god is a HE and there's no proof "he's" our one and only savior....
So, I think this is just your way of trying to minister to the users of Y!A and I think that's lame. Leave your beliefs at home and don't force them on others.

I have heard of dog. I call him Spot. He comes when I call him and likes to play fetch. He is my one and only savior ever since I trained him to bring me beer and the remote control.

I'm sure everyone here has heard of God. Most people, however, would probably prefer to be left alone and allowed to approach their faith--and Him--without being badgered about it.
