because the bible isn't true. it's fiction. it's a story about ethics and morals to base your life on. fine for some people, but not for me.

What we call dinosaurs the Bible calls Fiery serpents, Leviathan and other things. You could look up some good web sites on creationism and intelligent design. There is more evidence for the biblical account than you have been lead to believe.

To question #1 - because God did not write a book of zoology. What would all these animals have to do with salvation?
To question #2 - because these creatures were formed in the imaginations of the writers, often as symbols for something else, and never actually existed.

Great question!
I think that God revealed to us what He wanted us to know the most about. He knew we'd figure the other stuff out for ourselves.
I also think (and could be wrong) that God just didn't tell us everything because He knew at that time, we were not ready to hear about...whatever.
Think about it. If you'd told someone 2000+ years ago we'd be flying in the air in machines or driving around in "cars, trucks or SUV's" they would have said, you are crazy. Where do you come up with this stuff? Or maybe we'd sit in our house and watch a little box about make believe stories.
I believe God knew what He was doing when He wrote the Bible through each author He used.

Because the bible was written 2000 years ago by people that didn't have a clue about the world and still believed in dragons. Its called uneducated superstition. Pity some people still believe it. I keep waiting for some of the religious to start talking about talking snakes.

Well, there have been an estimated 100 billion people on the planet and most of us are not mentioned in the the bible...
God wasn't communicating zoology to us. He was explaining our origins and our redemption.

you find allot of animals that died and were catastrophically buried in the flood Its actually unussual to get marine fossiles or large animal fossils... fish that die are scavenged with nothing left... it takes a massive catastrophic burial... in the end a flood would do it
the dinosaurs are posisbly mentioned in Job about the Behemoth and Leviathan.... dinos could flourish before the flood and after the flood the world less hospitable to long lived creatures and large growing creatures like them

how could every one of God's creatures be listed in the Bible? when you tell a story, you don't mention every single creature around. you would have to list everything from cockroaches and fleas to birds in the sky to describe every detail. they weren't necessary to the story or outcome. but, just because they aren't there doesn't mean they didn't exist.

Actually, it's funny that you named the very things we have found evidence for. Giants like Goliath had obviously larger bones that have been found.

As far as fiery serpents goes.

To answer you first question...it was not important.
If someone asks you " How was your day?" are you going to give them a minute by minute account or a general summery?
Second, Flood and revelations. Most creatures are spoken in metaphor, or wiped out with the flood. It's possible that there was more to the divine flood then just drowning everything....

1) How do we know they are not mentioned by God? I personally haven't been able to listen in on every last one of His conversations.
2) There is a such thing as symbolims or these cases that you mentioned similies and metaphores.
