The only thing that makes sense is the simple pure gospel of Jesus Christ and his atonement for us on the cross. Wouldn't you agree?
If you have religion instead of Christianity, nothing will ever make sense. Some people know enough about religion to be inoculated against Christianity.

I think that there is common sense in having some type of spirituality, but not religion, that's just the laws humans make to try to control the spirituality of a person.

Yes, there is load of common sense if you look at it from a controlling point of view. if you control the religion, you control what the people you (force) to believe and tell them how to behave.
After a few generations they really do believe it and you have zillions of mindless slaves.
