Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus? This is the first I've heard of them, but I'm from the East Coast:

They look pretty cool.

ROTFLMSFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is every bit as good as the one about 'dihydrogen oxide'. And that one actually had a Senator preparing to start a Senate Investigation Committee on its dangers and whether or not it should be on the Federally Controlled Substance list until one of his aids pointed out to him that 'dihydrogen oxide' is just water ☺

DAMN!! Watching people make fools of themselves on the 'net has got to be the most fun a person can have (without taking their clothes off ☺)

It was a test given to the most internet literate 7th graders in a school to see if they could identify a hoax website. And even after the administrators told them it was all something they made up, the kids still insisted that the tree octopus was real and endangered. After all, it was on the internet so it must be true.

PS Thanks for the link. I hadn't actually seen the website.

Ummm, this animal is definitely a fake. An octopus, of any kind, is a marine species, it can't survive or even exist in a tree. Not only is this "tree octopus" rare, but it doesn't exist at all...
