how do i go about getting them back?
Is there a special office I'm suppose to go to?
P.S. all my guns are legally licensed, and i haven't been arrested or charged with a crime.

Call the police station and ask them. Iam sure they'd love to tell you what to do.

In order to search and seize property they would need a warrant. In Canada there is a requirement that a copy of the warrant be given to the homeowner or posted somewhere in the house during the search. Was this done when you weren't home? The police will usually explain to the people in the house why they are taking the stuff.
If you weren't home, how do you know that they were police?

Police do not necessarily have to arrest you or charge you right away when executing a warrant. This may happen to you down the road once the investigation is completed.
You should call the police and ask to speak to an officer about the situation. In Canada, they can hold your stuff for 90 days as a result of a warrant (if charges are not laid). They can apply for an extension for the detention of the stuff after that.

Sounds like someone reported some crimal behavior on your part to the police. Did you get the police officers names and badge numbers? ,, They do not have to have a search warrant for probable cause leading to the frlony conviction, but they do have to tell you why they took them. Call a judge, or the Police station, tell them you would like to know if you are being charged, they usually have 48 hours to charge you, if not then they need to return your stuff.

only what I reported earlier, highly with the size and the "became" which denotes awhile decrease back. officials mechanically kept products seized, they were even often times compensated and they could deduct the place of work and shelves used from their earnings tax. As a large city detective I mechanically kept products inventoried, frequently video clips or pictures of crimes, in my possession till I grew to grow to be them over to prosecutors only earlier trial. the following is a good one. at the same time as i began because the police the choose can provide the arresting officer any guns the officer seized upon conviction. it may were locked extra perfect yet toddlers are toddlers. it continues to be done some places yet hardly.

My daughter married a police officer and she has been through more than anyone can even think about going through. And from that I have learned that the police can do anything they want and get away with it.He even went to another state and flashed his badge and got information that he was not suspost to get. And when she was raped they took her computer and they just let you have things like that back when they want too.I am sorry but you can not win against a police officer. I have called everwhere and it doesn't do any good. His sargent even told me if I knew what was good for me I wouldn't even go to court and tell the truth.

I will bet you my income for the next 50 years that Andy is right... they were not police. A few questions: Did they show a warrant? (It has to list exactly what is to be confiscated.) Who let them into your house? (You don't have to let them in unless they have a warrant.) Did anyone ask them for i.d.? (Even if they were in uniform - and I'll bet they weren't - they have to show their i.d. if asked.) Last point: the things that they took were precisely the sort of things that a burglar would grab.

Did they have a warrant? They couldn't go into your house or take your property without one. You should talk to a lawyer if you haven't already done so.
As for how long they'll keep it that depends on the why they did it, what the case is all about.

Call your local PD Evidence Room and ask them when/if and what you have to do to get your property back. If it is being used in an investigstion you will have to wait until it is over. If you are charged with something and found guilty you will most likely get nothing back.
