I need Windows 98 SE Cd, is there anyway I could just download the files from the CD offline?

Yes, as a last resort you can search for and download each file it asks for, but check you computer first.

Sometimes the files you need are stored in

c:\windows\options\cabs

If you have a folder full of cab files when you go there, just tell windows to look in that folder...

If the 98 CD/OS is on line anywhere I'm not aware of it. It is not available on the MS website. Ask around to some of your friends-maybe they are like me and don't ever throw anything away. You can use the upgrade or the stand alone version to fix the problem. You can also find it on E-bay, probably really cheap.
