Why do people find the need to ban the Lord's Prayer? They say it is because religious freedom, because it's against the law. What's going on here. Well what about the freedom to say it publicly. And when did man's law become higher then the Lord's? How is it bothering you to the point that it is becoming publicly persecuted. Sounds like one of you know who's tricks to make people not believe. I just don't get it.

Nothing is allowed absolutely everywhere. People don't generally wear swim suits in church, but that costume is perfectly appropriate at poolside. Where are you trying to recite the Lord's Prayer publicly that someone barred you?

You can recite the Lord's Prayer or anything else quietly to yourself in most places, except where silence is required, such as a court room during a trial or in class while the teacher is trying to teach. There are appropriate times and places.

While we're on the topic, do you believe a Muslim has the right to recite from the Qur'an in all the public places you believe you should be free to recite the Lord's Prayer? How about a Humanist reciting one of the Humanist Manifestos? If freedom doesn't apply to all, it isn't really freedom.

Dears: The Constitution provides for the freedom to express religion, and that the state may not prevent this expression....which includes Christianity. Can't outlaw the Lord's prayer..it is not lawful to do so. The government just can not force us to pray it. Interestingly..in America's early history..many times as the country was called into battle..our presidents would ask that our citizens fast and pray. How far we have come from our foundation! The foundation in Christianity which allows for freedom in the first place. Freedom given by God is everlasting. Freedom legislated by men..changes with the wind.....We are still and must remain one nation under God.

you're not supposed to say it publicly, becuz if you stand on a corner (or wherever) and pray. you are doing it to be seen and you have your reward. but if you pray in secret, the Good Lord will reward you for that in Heaven!
