What is a part DUI???I worked at a court for 20 years and my hubby is a cop and never heard of that.A few of his co-workers got into trouble AFTER they were on the job and they stayed on their job after all the Bs that goes with it but I do not know what you are talking about.

Its unlikely. Police officers need clean records, and a DUI is a serious offense indicating not only a lack of respect for the law, but also a disregard for human life and a degree of moral turpitude. Call up the local police academy, because every jurisdiction is different. But in most places, you're going to be out of luck.

In Canada you can't be a police officer with any kind of criminal record (unless you have received a pardon for it). I'm almost positive the same thing holds true for Michigan.

You can only become a police officer in Mi if you have no felonies-although they may be reluctent about it, if you have any other offenses, I believe you can still become a police officer.
