Sorry did not mean to offend anyone, but many people in Scotland associate religion with the old firm (Celtic Catholic and Rangers protestant)

good question ann but no answer for you....you know yourself its never going to stop.....do you remember that experiment they did in a scottish school to intergrate catholic and protestant kids and the whole thing was a disaster.the kids ended up fighting each other at lunch time................the hatred especially if footballs involved is to deeply bred into this society and its never going to change

maybe in the past that was true and at the moment it's really the supporters are keeping this going,over the last 5-6 years there has been more catholics in the rangers team than in the Celtic team?and remember the current rangers manager is a practicing catholic

I would rather say football should have nothing to do with religious beliefs.Regardless of your faith you should support the team you want to and faith should play no part. I often wonder how many of the religious bigots that follow Rangers and Celtic can be seen in Church or Chapel on a Sunday morning.

I really agree that religion should not have nothing to do with footbal. Before a thousands and thousands alllllllllllll these countries was only on big country I think and there was only ONE religion and now when people desperate... I think that I am right. Does anyone agree with me?????
