Some was and some wasn't. Most, if not all, of it was written by eye witnesses. People that were there, saw and heard it. How much can it matter when or where it was written? The bottom line is the same. A person that saw the 9/11 newscasts can relate or write things about it. They may NOT remember what color shirt the TV newsman had on when he reported the story, but they WILL remember the main points, bottom line, of the story. Some of the Bible may be written in the same way.

The books of Luke and Revelations are estimated to have been written on 2nd hand information some 90-160 years after Jesus died. Unfortunately these books also seem to have a few embelishments from the writer that aren't established about Jesus in other disciples books.

No. Its not true.

The book of Mark was written almost immediately. The other books of the NT span from around 37AD to around 90-95AD with Mark being the first and Revelation being the last.

Several books....several authors....over about 60 years.

No, the New Testament was "complete" in 95 A.D. or about 60-65 years after Jesus' resurrection.

Impossible. Most of the new testament was written by Jesus' disciples who were with Jesus during his ministry. How could they still be alive 200 years later? 20 years maybe.

It was written about 50-100 years after. Before that they depended on tradition and spoken word.

God bless,
